The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) downed Western Tigers 2-0 when the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Senior Men’s League continued on Monday evening at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, Bourda.
Delroy Fraser and Ryan Hackett were on target for the army unit. In other results, Pele and Vengy also secured victories. Pele defeated Eastveldt 3-0 with Daniel Spencer recording a hat-trick while Vengy edged Camptown 1-0. DaCosta Abayage recorded the lone conversion of the clash.
The event continues today at the same venue with another round of matches. At 18:00hrs, GFC will oppose Black Pearl, while Santos will engage GT Panthers.
Meanwhile, newcomer Golden Stars mauled Silver Shattas 5-0 when the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) leg of the Namilco Championship continued on Monday afternoon at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground, Linden.
