Golden Jaguars assistant coach Charles ‘Lily’ Pollard, has tendered his resignation with immediate effect from his club side, traditional giant Western Tigers.
In a letter dated October 17th which was sent to the club executives, the Linden native said, “In opening, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the Western Tigers Football Club’s executive body for considering and further appointing me the position as head coach. It has been an intriguing and eventful opportunity. However, it is with a heavy heart and deep regret that I am taking this step to ‘Resign from the Western Tigers Football Club with immediate effect’ for unforeseen reasons beyond my control. In closing, I would like to thank you for your understanding and cooperation at this time.”
Pollard was appointed to the helm of the West Demerara club in 2020.
