GRA handling case of Enmore businessman with uncustomed goods

The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) is now handling the investigation involving an Enmore, East Coast Demerara (ECD) businessman who was allegedly found in possession of a quantity of uncustomed goods after breaching a roadblock earlier this month.

Police Commander of Region 4C, Khali Pareshram on Wednesday confirmed that the investigation was handed over to GRA. It is unclear whether the businessman has faced any charge to date.

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) had said a party of ranks attached to the Mahaica Police Station were conducting a roadblock in the vicinity of Unity Junction, ECD on October 5 during which vehicles were stopped and searched.
