Deputy Commissioner ‘Operations’ (ag), Ravindradat Budhram and Head of the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha – Minister of Human Services and Social Security, Dr. Vindhya Persaud, visited the L.B.I Community Centre Ground yesterday afternoon to conduct a site-visit and to finalize security and traffic arrangements for the Diwali Motorcade scheduled to be held tomorrow, Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 5:30 pm.
Commander Region #4’C’, Assistant Commissioner Khali Pareshram and Commander Region #5, Assistant Commissioner Kurleigh Simon along with other senior and junior officers and other officials from the Dharmic Sabha were also on site to finalise the arrangements, a release from the police said.
The release said that the motorcade leaves the Shri Krishna Mandir, Campbell Avenue, Kitty at 6:30 pm and will continue west along Campbell Avenue north onto J.B Singh Road then east on Rupert Craig Highway, Sparendaam Public Road and La Bonne Intention (L.B.I) Public Road, then south on L.B.I Access Road into the Community Centre Ground.
Parking will be allowed on the southern parapet of the southern carriageway of Rupert Craig Highway for persons desirous of viewing the passing Motorcade. Persons are asked to park in the extreme corner off of the road, to avoid blocking the Motorcade.
No parking will be permitted on the northern side of the East Coast Public Road between Conversation Tree and the L.B.I Access Road.
