Warriors crushed One Mill All Stars 9-2 to seal a quarter final berth when the New Era Entertainment-coordinated ExxonMobil Futsal Championship continued Saturday evening at the Retrieve hardcourt, Linden. Dumall Warner recorded five conversions in the lopsided affair while Lemar McLaren assisting with a hat-trick and Mancell Beckles netted one goal. For the losers, Emmanuel Dever and Allan Reece netted one goal apiece.
Similarly, One Side Ballers outflanked the Police 12-7. Jamal Yaw led the rout with a five goal blitz with respective doubles emanating from the boots of Akeem Nicholas and Tyrese Lewis respectively. Adding one goal each were Orwin Hermonstine and Selwyn Mingo.
For Police, Andrew Price tallied a hat-trick while Chris Fraser supported with a double. Contributing one goal apiece were Jermaine Gordon and Reyon Usher.
Meanwhile, Silver Bullets riddled Goal Getters 5-3. Felix Inniss was the primary threat for the eventual victors with a hat-trick while the duo of Jamaine Samuels and Huey Fraser scored one goal respectively. For Goal Getters, the trident of Renard Caesar, Errol Davis and Zidane Ramdeholl scored one goal each.
The competition resumes Friday at the same venue with the quarterfinals. The winner of the tournament will receive $400,000 while the second, third, and fourth-place finishers will pocket $200,000, $100,000, and $50,000 respectively.
