The body of a 14 year-old student of the Linden Foun-dation Secondary School who was feared drowned in Kara Kara Creek, was discovered floating on Monday around 9:30am.
Bena Greaves, grandmother of the dead teen, Kenneitha Greaves, and who lives at 24 Old Kara Kara, McKenzie, Linden, told Stabroek News that she was on her way to visit other relatives in Wismar when she heard what happened. She had sent her granddaughter Kenneitha to take a kitten down the road to one of the children who had wanted one. However, when she arrived at the child’s home, she was told that the kitten was no longer wanted and it was suggested she take it back. However, instead of returning home, she opted to go to the creek which she accessed through the yard of the home and ventured into the deep where she started to go down.
