Residents of Mocha Arcadia on the East Bank of Demerara can soon expect the completion of the reconstruction of their Barnwell and Cemetery roads.
The $46.2m project along Barnwell Road is 70% underway and will feature a robust concrete rigid pavement thoroughfare, measuring 480m in length by 3.66m width, a release by the Ministry of Public Works said.
At the $49.1M Cemetery Road project, a concrete road measuring 650m length by 3.66m width is under construction, with 25% of the project completed.
The projects came on stream following community consultations led by President Irfaan Ali and Minister of Public Service, Sonia Parag.
