December 12th 2022 has been named as Nomination Day, the date on which Lists of Candidates have to be submitted for the March 13th 2023 Local Government Elections.
In a notice published in yesterday’s Sunday Stabroek, the Guyana Elections Commission said that all political parties, voluntary groups or individual candidates desirous of contesting the polls are to submit their respective lists of candidates and their pre-approved symbols on Nomination Day. Applications for the approval of symbols must be submitted no later than November 21st 2022.
