President Irfaan Ali last night congratulated Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on winning yesterday’s election for the Brazilian presidency.
In a statement, Ali said: “I am pleased to extend sincere congratulations to His Excellency Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on his election to the Presidency of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The Government and people of Guyana join me in extending best wishes for success in the execution of his mandate”.
