The Berbice Shotokan Karate Association (BSKA) via the Berbice, Albion and Canje, and New Amsterdam Dojos, commenced its final examination for the year on October 30th at the Albion Sports Complex.
According to a release from the BSKA, Shihan Amir Khouri, 7th Dan, administered and supervised the session, with Senseis Clinton Moriah and Hazrat Ali both 6th Dan, assisting. It was also the first instance that a student, Javel Thom, was graded for the rank of Shodan (1st Dan Black belt) at the Albion Dojo.
