Qualfon defeated the Georgetown School of Nursing to clinch the Cummings Electrical Company Super 6 cricket championship which was hosted Saturday at the Durban Park tarmac.
Batting first, Qualfon recorded an imposing 106-3 in their allotted overs. In reply, the Guyana School of Nursing could only muster 61-5, losing by 45 runs.
In the Bible Club schoolboys competition, Cummings Lodge Secondary defeated Zeeburg Secondary to walk away with the title. In the earlier semi-final round, Cummings Lodge overcame St. Rose’s High, while Zeeburg defeated Plaisance Secondary.
The next tournament, which is the Trophy Stall Champion of Champions competition, will occur on Sunday November. Further details will be disclosed shortly.
