Dear Editor,
The National Insurance Scheme received my claim for medical benefit on August 2, 2022, some three months ago. The NIS Receiving Clerk issued me a signed acknowledgement form but until now I have not received a response from the NIS. I wrote my contact mobile number and highlighted it on the front page of my medical benefit claim form.
The NIS has been processing similar claims to my benefit for over a decade, without a hitch. However, the processing of these claims has become increasingly lousy. Meantime, I made several calls to the relevant department according to the NIS website, but either the ‘user busy’ notice came up on my phone or the calls were unanswered.
In addition, I sent an e-mail addressed to the NIS Customer Relations Manager Thursday afternoon regarding the non-response to my medical benefit claim. Although we are in a digital age, I am yet to be afforded the courtesy of a response. A team management upgrade at NIS is long overdue.
Sincerely,
Lloyd Conway
