Radio worker dies after boat capsizes near Charity

Trevor Patrick, 48,  died this morning after a boat carrying him and media personnel capsized near Charity.

Reports say that the boat was coming out at Charity when the engine became entangled with a piece of plastic and capsized.

Patrick was missing for half of an hour and after a search he was found and taken to the Oscar Joseph Hospital at Charity where he was pronounced dead. The capsizing occurred at around 9.30 am.

He was attached to Radio Essequibo

President Irfaan Ali who was on a visit to the area has since met with his family.
