ToppXX edged Net Rockers 1-0 when the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) Senior League continued Sunday at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground, Linden.
Isaac Browne was the difference on the day as he fashioned a first-half strike, blasting his effort into the back of the net in the 42nd minute. Meanwhile, Eagles and Blue Berry Hill battled to a 3-3 stalemate. Eagles raced onto a 2-0 first-half lead following conversions from Donovan Francis in the 21st and 30th minute. However, Blue Berry Hill equalised via goals from Akeem Lyhile and Roydell Artwin in the 63rd and 67th minute respectively.
Blue Berry Hill then took the lead (3-2) in the 89th minute when Artwin scored his second goal of the match. However, Eagles secured a share of the spoils when Francis completed his hat-trick with a 90th+3-minute conversion.
Over at the Wisburg ground, Golden Stars and Eagles contested a 3-3 affair. Kenneth James bagged a double in the 48th and 53rd minute, while Alazane Chester scored in the sixth minute. For Eagles, Ryan Arthur was the primary threat with a hat-trick in the eighth, 51st, and 59th minute.
