Dear Editor,
Guyanese do not really have a choice in who they vote for. So they settle for their perceived lesser of two evils. There are the kleptocrats or the riggers, both of whom seek to enrich themselves when in power.
The kleptocrats knows that some people will do anything to prevent the riggers from getting into power. The riggers knows that some people will do anything to prevent the kleptocrats from getting into power. Both, the kleptocrats and the riggers, knows that some people will vote for them, not for their policies, but because of race bias. This is why there is a need for a new Third Force in Guyana.
We need a new Third Force that will sweep both the kleptocrats and the riggers out of power thereby voters will not settle for either. It will be an uphill struggle but it is time to clean the Augean Stables. Can a new Third Force win the next General Elections due in 2025 or are we left with kleptocrats and riggers? It is not impossible. You will never know until you try. Why settle for the perceived lesser of two evils?
