Plans are in the pipeline for the Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation to unwrap its best present a week prior to Christmas.
According to a release, the federation is set to host its flagship National Senior Championships on December 18 at the National Cultural Centre (NCC).
The premier local bodybuilding event is set to attract the cream of the nation’s physiques.
Showtime is set for 18:00hrs and tickets will be on sale soon.
The release stated that standout musclemen like five-time Mr. Guyana (Men’s Physique) Emmerson Campbell, last year’s Mr. Guyana (bodybuilding) Darious Ramsammy along with upcoming stars, Nicholas Albert, Jonathan Jeffrey, Odel Crum Ewing and Julio Sinclair are all set to pose and flex under the bright lights of the NCC.
The statuesque Rosanna Fung, this years’ CAC triple gold medalist and Pro Card winner along with CAC silver medalists, Asanti Conway and Christina Ramsammy are also scheduled to strut their stuff in the female segment of the highly anticipated event.
This championship has so far attracted the financial support of Fitness Express. Several other business entities and individuals are expected to come on board financially.
On the night of the competition, there will be about 30 athletes competing in the different segments of competition.
These are:
1. Bodybuilding;
2. Bikini;
3. Women’s Wellness
4. Men’s Physique
