Pigeon Island road works: Nearly 50% of the promised road projects at Pigeon Island, Chateau Margot are complete, according to the Ministry of Public Works which says it is making headway on President Irfaan Ali’s commitment to residents back in August. A release from the ministry said that contractors have successfully poured 280 metres of pavement in the community to uplift the living standards of residents, as part of an $80 million infrastructural investment package. The Ministry said it is currently testing loam and white sand that were placed prior to giving the green light for contractors to proceed with other phases of the projects.
