Parika crushed Belle West by a 3-0 score-line when the Region #3 zone in the ‘One Guyana President’s Cup’ football tournament commenced on Wednesday evening at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora, West Coast Demerara.
Roy Singh led the rout with a first-half double in the second and 44th minutes. Completing the score was Yohance Stuart, who found the back of the net in the 78th minute.
The event continues today at the same venue with a doubleheader. Uitvlugt and Bagotville will take centre stage at 18.00 hours. This will be followed by the Pouderoyen and Wales encounter at 20.30 hours.
On Sunday at the same venue, Stewartville will battle Crane at 18.00 hours whilst Den Amstel will oppose the winner of the earlier Belle West and Parika encounter at 20.30 hours. The semi-final section of the zone is pencilled for November 25th.
