Carlos DaSilva called Carlos Rodrigues, a 27-year-old Venezuelan national and a miner who resides at Tuschen New Scheme, East Bank Essequibo, was arrested on 2022-11-15 and charged with the murder of Ravindra Alfred, which occurred on 13th November 2022 at Sand Hill Backdam.
On 2022-11-18 at about 14:30 hrs, the police say that the accused appeared at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Crystal Lambert where the charge was read to him.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charge and was remanded to prison.
The matter was adjourned to 22nd December, 2022 for filing of statements.
Alfred was a miner of Kaneville, East Bank Demerara.
