Prison Service gets first female Senior Superintendent

Following the approval from Minister of Home Affairs Robeson Benn, nine senior officers within the Guyana Prison Service (GPS) on Friday received promotions, including the first female Senior Superintendent.

The promotion list which was recommended by the Prisons Director Nicklon Elliot, saw Mark Smith, Deoraj Gyandat, Kofi David and Olivia Cox being promoted to Senior Superintendents, while Officer Maxine Mourant and Michelle Boyce were promoted to Assistant Superintendents of Prisons.
