An 18-year-old was last Thursday remanded to prison after being charged with two counts of robbery with violence.
Patrick Assanah of Lot 112 Brushe Dam, Vigilance, East Coast Demerara (ECD), appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court where the two charges were read to him by Magistrate Fabayo Azore.
Assanah was charged with two counts of robbery with violence contrary to Section 222(a) of the Criminal Law Offences Act Chapter 8:01.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to both charges and was remanded to prison. He will make his next court appearance on December 14th.
