After a month of no new deaths, the Ministry of Health yesterday said that two men succumbed to the novel Coronavirus.
The two males, ages 43 and 96 both died last Sunday at the Infectious Diseases Hospital at Liliendaal.
They were both from Region Six and according to the ministry, the 43-year-old male was unvaccinated while the 96-year-old man’s vaccination status is unknown.
Prior to these two, the last COVID death was recorded on September 16th. With these two deaths, the country’s death toll from the virus has now climbed to 1,283.
Additionally, four new COVID cases were recorded after 55 tests were conducted. Three of those cases were from Region Four and one was from Region Six.
The updated dashboard states that 4 persons are now in the COVID ICU, while 5 are in institutional isolation and 81 in home isolation.
