Kwakwani airstrip employee charged with murder of labourer

A 28-year-old man was on Tuesday remanded to prison after being charged with the murder of a labourer from New Amsterdam, Berbice.

Courtney Williams, who worked as an operator at the Kwakwani Airstrip, Upper Berbice River appeared before Magistrate Wanda Fortune via Zoom at the Linden Magistrate’s Court and was charged with the murder of Joshua Daniels, 28.

He was not required to plead to the indictable charge and was remanded to prison, according to the Guyana Police Force.

His next scheduled appearance will be on January 5th.
