Region Three policemen yesterday arrested a motorcyclist at the Demerara Harbour Bridge (DHB) Police outpost after they found 31 grammes of marijuana in his pants crotch.
According to the Guyana Police Force, at around 14:30 hours yesterday, ranks from Regional Police Division #3 were on duty at the DHB Outpost when motorcycle CK7971 was stopped and the motorcyclist and pillion rider were searched.
The motorcyclist, Nickolas Singh, a 24-year-old man of Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo had in his possession a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be marijuana, which was found in his pants crotch.
When weighed, the marijuana amounted to 31 grammes.
The motorcyclist and pillion rider were escorted to La Grange Police Station and placed in custody. The motorcycle is also at La Grange station.
