Mohamed Esuph, 45-years-old and Latchmine Singh 48-years-old, a seamstress of Lot 430 Hope Lowland East Coast Demerara, were charged with the offence of Possession of Narcotics for the purpose of Trafficking on Monday.
According to a press release from the Guyana Police Force, Esuph and Singh appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Fabayo Azore, where the charges were read to them. Esuph pleaded guilty to the Possession of a Narcotic and was fined $20,000, and $16,000 for cultivating a Prohibited Plant, while Singh pleaded not guilty to both charges and was placed on $35,000 bail for each charge. The matter was adjourned to March 22nd 2023.
