Dear Editor,
Kindly have this letter published in your most informative newspaper, for a most worthy cause of curbing noise nuisance from Sita’s Bar, located in Station Street, Kitty, Georgetown.
We write with much concern as it relates to the Noise Nuisance on a regular basis, noise emanating from the popular ‘Sita’s Bar located In Station Street, Kitty. This noise has been going on for a long time, for years although several complaints have been made against the proprietor of Sita’s Bar. At the moment we the residents are very concerned as the festive Christmas season is fast approaching. We the residents are now fearful, because as from past experiences, we have to close up and stay indoors with deep grievance whilst Sita’s crowd jollify in madness.
The senior citizens are now the focus of suffering, bearing the inconvenience to the detriment to their mental and physical health. Not forgetting others but who are fearful as not to take the matter further, we only experience peace and quietness in our homes then not again. We ask ourselves “where do we go?
Our only suggestion is for a relocation or rebuild of an enclosed air conditioned “air tight music proof” walls to house Sita’s music and patrons, re-implement fixed hours of curfew to stop the music and closure of bars etc , this she has been ignoring for the longest. We pause to wonder what would be the outcome, come Christmas morning. With best wishes and a blessed Xmas
Sincerely,
Residents of Station Street, Kitty
