Grove/Samatta Point/Diamond and Beterverwagting (BV)/Buxton recorded hard-fought wins when the Region #4 zone in the One Guyana President’s Cup continued Thursday evening at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Grove/Samatta Point/Diamond edged West Ruimveldt/Albouystown 1-0. Lloyd Matthews separated the two teams with a 12th-minute conversion.
On the other hand, BV/Buxton defeated Mahaica/Mahaicony on penalty kicks after regulation time ended 2-2.

BV/Buxton prevailed 5-3 during the penalty shoot-out. Eon Dooker and Shemar Fraser scored for the eventual winners in the seventh and 29th minute apiece while N. Portsmouth and Kevin Sherwood netted in the 44th and 87th minute respectively for Mahaica/Mahaicony.
