I am deeply saddened to learn about the passing of our dear Father Rodrigues.
Guyana has lost a Great Man of the People.
He was at home as a priest, a teacher, a workers’ union president (UGWU), a freedom fighter and an activist! Every year he put on his robe and welcomed the Advent Season in one of the lecture rooms with lecturers, workers and students who felt moved to go on this spiritual journey.
Father Rodrigues was a humble man of God who lived an exemplary life.
