Reigning Mr. Guyana, Darious Ramsammy is adamant that he will repeat as champion on December 18.
Nicknamed ‘Razor’ for his lean and sharp physique, the aesthetic muscleman plans to slice through the competition once again and retain the coveted title when the National Seniors Championship is staged at the National Cultural Centre.
Ramsammy told this publication recently that he has heard of the boasts from his rivals who are gunning for the throne but emphatically stated that when the dust settles, he will remain ‘King’ of the local bodybuilding scene.
According to Ramsammy, he has had his hard hat on preparing for the challenges in and out the weight room and is confident of a slam dunk repeat at the flagship event.
His confidence comes from the improvements he has made during his grueling contest prep.
The last time he competed locally, the 5’4 inch’ bodybuilder tipped the scales at 170lbs. He was a ripped mass of striated muscle. Fast forward to now, he stated that he has added quality muscle to his award winning frame which he opines will be unbeatable once he nails his conditioning.
Though Ramsammy has expectations of winning at the event which attracts the cream of the local fitness athletes, the 25 year-old stated that his number one aim is to conquer the man in the mirror and continue his bodybuilding journey internationally.
The workhorse Ramsammy has improved his posing and physique every time he has graced the stage and has all the tools and the confidence to get the job done.
But will he still wear the crown following the highly anticipated night or will his reign end? The answer will be known in eight days. Doors are set to open from 18:00hrs and tickets cost $2500. See you there.
