Guyana concluded its four-match international hockey series against host nation Barbados with positive results, as the junior side recorded a win alongside a drawn affair for the senior outfit on Sunday at Wildey Park.
The junior programme romped to a 4-1 victory in their final outing to end the series with a record of one win and three draws. Meanwhile, the senior side played to a 1-1 stalemate to end with a record of three losses and a draw.
According to an official release from the Guyana Hockey Board, “National captain Shakeem Fausette was adjudged MVP [Most Valuable Player] of the junior series, while Guyana’s number 9, Frederico Cush, received the award for most goals in the series.”
