One hundred and fifty children have been catered for by C.T Williams Technologies Inc. as they ushered in the Christmas season with gifts and goodies during a toy drive at their Mandela Avenue location yesterday.
According to Kurt Clark, Operation Director of the company, the toy drive was not only prepared for the children from the various orphanages around Georgetown but also for children in nearby villages preferably between the ages of three and nine.
Clark noted that the company has been doing the drive every Christmas season for the last four years since it believes it has a responsibility to give back to their nation’s children.
“As a corporate entity, it is our responsibility year in year out to give back to the community and to the less fortunate. I think this is something it is a part of our history in Guyana…our aim this year is to put a smile on every child that comes into contact with us.”
He further added that the drive saw poor attendance earlier in the day due to the inclement weather but remained hopeful since in previous years there was a high attendance of children.
The company offers a variety of technological and air conditioning services.
