Autopsies performed on Asasha Ramzan and Peter Charles, the couple who were discovered dead in a parked vehicle at Belle West, West Bank Demerara two Tuesdays ago confirmed that they both died as a result of gunshot injuries.
Their cause of death was determined by Dr Nehaul Singh who conducted the autopsies last Thursday.
Ramzan was shot in her jaw and head while Charles was shot in his chin.
Investigators suspect that Charles shot Ramzan and then turned the gun on himself. Police sources later confirmed that Charles was a licensed firearm holder.
The bodies of Ramzan of Enterprise, East Coast Demerara (ECD) and Charles, 31, of Canal No.2 were discovered in a locked Nissan X-Trail SUV which was found parked on a deserted section of Clay Brick Road in Belle West, West Bank Demerara.
Ramzan, who was an attorney, was admitted to the bar in November 2020. Charles was a barber.
