A North Ruimveldt man was yesterday remanded to prison after he was charged with grabbing a man off his motorcycle and stealing it.
Lennox Barkley, 31, of Kaikan Street, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magis-trate’s Court where the charge of robbery under arms was read to him.
The particulars of the offence alleged that Barkley who was in the company of two others on August 13 at Aubrey Barker Road, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, and armed with an offensive weapon which was an icepick, robbed Akeem Benjamin of one motorcycle worth $205,000.
