Detective Constable Courtney Sampson yesterday snagged the Best Cop award in Region Six and urged persons joining the force to do so on good faith and to work hard and not be corrupt.
In an interview with Stabroek News, 27-year-old Sampson who hails from the East Bank Berbice area, yesterday said he felt a lot of joy receiving the sought-after award. He added, “but before you can get joy you have to work hard and you have to sweat…”
Sampson who joined the Guyana Police Force in 2015, relayed that he wanted to serve his country and solve crime. “And seeing a lot of drug users out there and how it affected the youths that is one of the main concept that motivate me to join the police force.”
