Dear Editor,
I unhappily note letter from Mayleen Davis and family in Stabroek News of December 22nd. I am unhappy because the last thing I would want to do is upset Mayleen and family. I endorse the key role played by Harold Davis Snr in revitalising and growing the sugar industry in the period I was writing about in my column of December 18th. He was a colleague and friend and I readily attest to his great contribution. The omission of his name was wholly inadvertent.
