Dear Editor,
Reference is made to E.B John’s two recent letters to the editor dated December 8 bearing the caption “Nonagenarian awaiting acknowledgement from NIS and December 23, Captioned “A most indifferent NIS”.
Please be advised that Mr. John also wrote a letter to the General Manager dated November 23, 2022 and was responded to via email dated December 16, 2022. A staff from the Public Relations unit subsequently contacted the pensioner on the same day that the email was sent, informing him that a response was sent to him. Attached to that email was a copy of Form P300F3C_RO Application for Pension to be paid into the bank (Local). It must be noted that the life certificate being referred to was processed and a pension book was printed for Mr. John.
Further, he was advised that in order for his pension to be paid into his account the relevant form must be completed with the verified bank account number stated thereon. Today, after seeing another letter by Mr. John in two newspapers, I again wrote him and expect him to receive that response shortly in the mail. In said correspondence I have attached a hard copy of the above mentioned form for him to complete and take to the bank for verification of the account number.
Please note that the pensioner also has the option of visiting the Public Relations or Customer Service Units for further assistance.
Sincerely,
Dianne Lewis Baxter
Public Relations Unit
