First nursing assistant programme launched in Region Two

The Ministry of Health’s Nursing Assistant Programme was launched for the first time in Region Two at the Suddie Public Hospital on Wednesday by the Ministry’s Health Sciences Education Division.

The first batch of 45 students who were present for the launch will undergo a series of training for 18 months in order to fully equip themselves with the medical environment in which they will be prepared to work in. According to the Ministry of Health’s Facebook page, Minister of Health, Dr. Frank Anthony who launched the programme, said that as of January 2023, the registered nursing programme will be a hybrid programme for persons desirous of pursuing the field of study.
