There is an article in the online edition of ‘Mirror’ in which last Sunday’s classic World Cup Football final between Argentina and France, which Argentina won in a shootout, is now subject to an almost 200,000 signed petition, by a French website and largely in France, calling for the final to be replayed (Dec 23). Why? According to the petition, apparent issues with both of Argentina’s first two goals. Apparently such petitions are nothing new in football. How does football fans in Guyana feel about the call?
