(Trinidad Guardian) A 16-year-old Caroni teenager, who was among seven people shot in three separate incidents between Monday night and yesterday, succumbed to his injuries at hospital yesterday.
Police said Tishawn Mansano was from River Branch Road, Kelly Village.
He and three other men, aged 26, 20 and 19, were liming along on Mt D’or Road, Champs Fleurs, around 9.25 pm when armed gunmen approached them in a vehicle. The gunmen opened fire on them before escaping.
The victims were taken to hospital for treatment, but Mansano succumbed to his injuries just before midday yesterday.
Police said the 26-year-old and 19-year-old were listed in critical condition.
In a separate incident at around 8.45 pm on Monday, two men, aged 30 and 40, were at Bamboo Trace, Tunapuna, when a gunman opened fire on them.
Both men were hit several times about their bodies. They were taken to hospital where they were treated and warded in stable conditions.
Meanwhile, at an unrelated incident at Pinto Road, Arima, yesterday, police officers reported to the scene of a shooting at a house off Hoyte Avenue around 1.20 pm.
Inside the house, they found a man’s body with gunshot wounds. Police believe the man was in a room when he was ambushed and shot several times. The body is yet to be identified.
Investigations into all three incidents are continuing.
