Sophia man went on Essequibo joyride with company’s taxi – court hears

Rudolph Narayan

A man was yesterday released on $150,000 bail after he allegedly breached a contract with a Georgetown taxi base and went on a joyride to Essequibo for several days with the company’s car.

The charge against 26-year-old Rudolph Narayan of ‘C’ Field, Sophia, Georgetown, states that on December 15 at Fifth Street Alberttown, Georgetown, while solely being entrusted with a Toyota motorcar valued at $1.4 million, property of Terry Babulall, he fraudulently converted it to his own use and benefit.
