Lawrence Junior Joseph, a 35-year-old businessman of Lot 176 Republic Park Gardens, Georgetown, and Andrea Miller, a 47-year-old businesswoman of Lot 27 Victoria Road, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara, were on Wednesday, charged with the possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking and unlawful possession of ammunition without a licence.
The defendants appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Rochelle Liverpool, where the charges were read to them. They both pleaded not guilty.
Joseph was remanded to prison and Miller placed on $50,000 bail. The matter has been adjourned to January 26.
