The Civil Defence Commission (CDC) is continuing its efforts to assist those vulnerable individuals and families whose home have been damaged by high winds and heavy rainfall.
The Department of Public Information (DPI) in a release yesterday noted that one such recipient of CDC’s assistance was a resident of Goed Fortuin, Alecia Glasgow, whose home had been damaged by heavy winds.
According to the release, her concerned neighbours reached out to the CDC on her behalf, and the agency conducted an assessment. Just days later, yesterday, it delivered roofing sheets, nails, and wood to the grateful woman.
