A doctor attached to the Fort Wellington Hospital was last evening injured in an accident after she reportedly lost control of her vehicle and slammed into two cars, a utility pole and the gate of the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) in Region Six.
Following the accident, Dr. Michelle Paul was rushed to the Fort Wellington Hospital just around 7. 30 pm. However, as of last evening she was being transferred to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital in an unconscious state.
Based on information gathered, Dr. Paul was driving her vehicle along the main public road in Fort Wellington when she lost control and slammed into two cars.
She then hit a utility pole, cutting it down in the process and then the RDC gate before coming to a halt in the RDC compound. As of last evening, there were no reports of anyone else being injured and police were on the scene.
