Edgar Lawson, 29, of Charlotte Street, Georgetown who was charged last month with trafficking cocaine and remanded to prison was yesterday granted $250,000 bail.
Lawson who appeared virtually before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan from the Lusignan Prison for disclosure in his matter, was granted bail and the matter was adjourned until January 25.
Last December, the man was charged in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court with trafficking 887 grams of cocaine at Lot 10 Enachu Street, Section ‘K’ Campbellville, Georgetown, on December 5. He had pleaded not guilty to the charge.
