Lawmen in Berbice on Friday arrested three adults and two presumed juveniles after a shotgun and twelve cartridges were found at a location in Black Bush Polder.
According to information gathered, based on intelligence, ranks arrested three adult males: Raymond Lafleur of New Amsterdam, Thelson Foresight and Rashon Alli.
Additionally, two other males, who claimed to be juveniles, were also arrested.
Stabroek News was told that the lawmen acting on information received ventured to Johanna South, Black Bush Polder, Corentyne around 2 pm on Friday where they saw two males standing next to a silver gray 212, PNN 3838. A search was conducted on the said motor car however nothing illegal was found.
The ranks then proceeded to the nearby yard where they saw Lafleur in a store room. A search was carried out in the store room and one single-barrel shotgun with the markings CBC (no serial number) was found along with three 12-gauge cartridges.
The police took possession of the firearm and arrested Lafleur at the location.
