A Pomeroon woman is nursing injuries after two boats collided at Moruca in the northwest.
Reports from Moruca say that a Pomeroon boat with a 40 hp engine collided with the Waramuri village boat which had a 15 hp engine.
The injured woman is at the Kumaka District Hospital.
The Moruca District Council has called on persons traversing the Moruca River to do so with care.
