The penultimate day’s play in the Guyana Cricket Board, Guyana Harpy Eagles’ first warm-up match at the National Stadium, Providence yesterday, saw 15 wickets tumbling as Tagenarine Chanderpaul’s XI came away with a nine-wicket win over Veerasammy Permaul’s XI.
Resuming on 378 for six in their first innings and 117 runs ahead, Chanderpaul’s XI reached 429 all out in 98.1 overs.
Permaul’s XI then responded with 186 all out in 53 overs leaving Chanderpaul’s XI requiring just 19 runs for victory.
