Local financial services group, Hand-in-Hand, has teamed up with the Trinidadian arm of Tiger Rentals to establish a new company, Environmental and Technical Solutions Inc. (ETS), catering to hazardous waste treatment in the oil and gas sector.
The company, which was launched last night at the Marriott Hotel, was recently awarded a five-year contract by Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Limited (EEPGL) to treat hazardous waste.
At the launch General Manager, Shane Singh, explained that they were in months of discussions with local companies before forming a partnership with Hand-in-Hand. On the sidelines, he explained that due to the matrix of Tiger Rentals framework and Guyana’s Local Content policy, it was not possible for them to sell a portion of the company. It was against this backdrop, that they formed the partnership. Tiger Tanks has been operating in Guyana since 2014, when they first serviced Canadian oil explorer, CGX.
