Police issue wanted bulletins for Brazilians over drug trafficking

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) yesterday issued wanted bulletins for two Brazilian nationals who they say allegedly committed the offence of trafficking in narcotics on December 11, 2022.

The two named in the bulletin are, 33-year-old Agusto Altroitar and 53-year-old Paulo Sergio Petter. Their addresses in Guyana are so far unknown.

Stabroek News had reported last month that Altroitar and Petter had appeared in the George-town Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Leron Daly where they were previously charged with the aforementioned offence along with disembarking their boat that they used to enter into Guyana, without the consent of an Immigration Officer. After initially being remanded, Altroitar was granted bail in the sum of $180,000 while Petter was required to pay $80,000 bail.
