A man yesterday appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where he was charged with drug trafficking
Jamal McQueen of Albouystown was yesterday read a drug trafficking charge by Senior Magistrate Leron Daly who remanded him to prison. According to the charge, McQueen on January 23 at Breda Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown, had in his possession 89.53 grams of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The court heard that the defendant was at his house in Breda Street when the police carried out a raid at about 12.30 hours based on intelligence received.
